Hello, it's been about a month since I posted anything...did you notice? No? Well I didn't ,iss you either...
So every now and then I decidedly get obssessed with a band/artist from the past-you know like a music generation past. One of my favourite obssessions is the fab four themselves, the almighty Beatles. I LOOVE spending time knee deep in Beatle memorabilia-it's really an awesome way to spend dead hours. In the past 2 weeks I have rediscovered their albums from the raw hungry beginnings with Please Please Me, to their trippy Sgt Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band(Lucy in the sky with diamonds*) to the uber spiritual Let It Be. I can't imagine how awe inspiring it must have been to see this formidable force live you know? They were forging a path in a diection that had not yet been taken-it must have sucked to be another band trying to make it in their shadow.
I hadn't realized that the Liverpool gang had made more movies than just the 'Hard Day's Night' which I had watched a bagillion times before, but apparently they had. I have now officially committed to memory A Hard Day's Night, Help and Yellow Submarine- I am missing Let It Be and of course Magical Mystery Tour... Their acting was terrible but it's their voices are AWESOME for their brand of humor, they have no intonation so their punchlines are even funnier.
So later after work I am going to rent Magical Mystery Tour... I'm going aaalll the way to the sea of green :-).
